Career Highlights:


During his graduate work he spent a summer at Sandia National Laboratories in the Computer Science Research Institute working on dynamic load-balancing. After completing his doctoral degree, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate in a multi-disciplinary group of researchers with faculty from the Mathematics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Geology, and Geography departments at the University at Buffalo studying granular/debris flows.

Research Areas:


Andrew Bauer's primary research is on methods of approximation of partial differential equations using adaptive methods on multi-processor computing systems. This work includes:
