Jens Müller

Post Doctoral Research Associate

Education:

Ph.D., Microsystem Technology, Freiburg University, Germany, 2001

Career Highlights:

Jens Mueller received his Ph.D. in 2001 from Freiburg University, Germany, in Mikrosystem Technology under the supervision of Professor J.G. Korvink. He joined SCOREC in late 2002.

Research Areas:

Jens Müller's research focus is the finite element adaptivity and their implementation. He has developed error estimation techniques together with mesh refinement procedures for multilayered thin microstructures that perform in a multi-physical environment. More recently, his research interest also extends to fluid dynamics where he is working together with Kenneth Jansen. Especially, he is working on adaptivity that is required to efficiently simulate the human cardiovascular system, a joint project with Charley Taylor, Stanford University.
