TitleOn Two-Level Methods Based on Aggregation for 3D Problems
Year1998
AbstractVarious two-level approaches based on aggregation are analyzed. We show the importance of enriching the approximation space on each aggregate and widening the interface regions between the aggregates. We prove that in this case the two-level iteration matrix is bounded by the constant independent of the mesh parameter and decreases with the growth of numbers of pre- and post-smoothings. Numerical experiments support these findings.
