Title | Meshing Environment for Geometry-Based Analysis |
Year | 1997 |
Abstract | This document provides an overview of the meshing environment developed at Rensselaer's Scientific Computation Research Center. The environment consists of a set of tools that support the automatic creation of simplex meshes directly from non-manifold solid models. In addition the environment makes use of the three flexible object-oriented structures representing the geometric model, attribute information associated with the model, and the mesh itself. It can be tailored to generate controlled meshes for a whole range of problem types, including those that need curvilinear meshes or highly anisotropic meshes. |
