Abstract | A new numerical methodology is developed for the simulation of three-dimensional Czochralski (CZ) and Liquid Encapsulated Czochralski (LEC) melt flows. A Galerkin/Least Squares finite element method is used in a parallel adaptive environment. The single-phase simulation described here will be one of the ingredients in a coupled multiphase time-dependent analysis of an InP high-pressure crystal growth system, currently under development. |
