| Abstract | A simulation environment to support engineering design embedded in an enterprise wide information system is presented. The environment consists of a set of structures and managers housing the problem definition, and tools controlling the construction of the simulation domain, the simulation itself, and the interaction with the product data management system. The interaction with the product data management system is facilitated by providing a relational database representation of the simulation attributes (loads, boundary conditions etc...). |
